Your data

What Aipa keeps, where you can see it, and how you correct or delete it.

What Aipa keeps

  • Your Nexus: the people, places, things, and events you mention, and how they connect.
  • Your conversations, message by message.
  • A search index of both, so Aipa can find something by meaning. It is removed when the message or entry it came from is deleted.
  • The files you upload, and what Aipa read from them.
  • If you connect Spotify or Plex, your listening and watching history from them.
  • Your conversations, your Nexus, and your uploaded files are stored encrypted at rest.

See it

  • Settings has a Your data page that lists what Aipa holds, by kind, with counts.
  • The Atlas shows your Nexus through different lenses: every person, place, and event. Open one to see where each fact came from.
  • Things Aipa inferred, and was not told, are marked as such.

Correct it

  • Tell Aipa in a conversation and it replaces the old fact.
  • Or open the entry in the Atlas and edit it yourself.

Take a copy

  • In Settings you can download a copy of your data as one zip file: your Nexus, your reminders, your account settings, the files you uploaded, and, if you choose, your conversations.
  • Your Nexus comes as a plain JSON file in the Aipa format, which the download describes field by field, so other programs can read it.
  • The copy holds your own data. It contains no passwords and no payment details.

Delete it

  • Delete any entry in the Atlas.
  • Delete a conversation and what was said in it is deleted too. Aipa can no longer quote it.
  • Delete a file from its page.
  • In Settings you can reset your account data, which wipes your conversations and your Nexus and keeps the account, or delete the account.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t train AI models on your data.
  • We don’t sell it.
